As a former Director of Responsible Sourcing Compliance for one of the Europe’s largest Grocery Retailers, Asda, and Director of Responsible Sourcing International Markets, for Walmart, Global, the world’s largest Grocery Retailer, Lisa is an expert in leading international teams operating across a complex stakeholder groups. Her career has seen many highlights including the establishing of centralised responsible sourcing programs operating across global markets, developed and lead the modern slavery strategy, worked closely with Governments and NGOs, Chaired the British Retail Consortiums Ethical labour group and played a critical role in the delivery of Asda inaugural ESG report. 

  

She has spent her working life establishing programs that deliver fair and equitable outcomes for workers across the supply chain, recent examples include her role as board member for the Bangladesh Accord for Building Safety, an agreement supported by more than 200 brands improving safety and security for over 2m Bangladeshi factory workers. Regarded by many as the most effective campaign of the globalised era.

She is a forceful advocate for having a positive impact on people’s lives, whilst delivering improved commercial outcomes through the better treatment of workers. On a personnel note, heritage and history is deeply valued and reflected in her approach to work. Lisa believes that businesses are well placed to contribute to the social well-being of their workers, channelling that energy and resource is essential to achieve the desired outcomes whilst also expected by today’s socially aware consumer. 

  

Within the growing focus on ESG, social responsibility is a key starting point for many businesses and brand owners. 

  

She is clear in her view that all workers should have access to safe and fair working conditions.
