 STEM Ambassador | UN Women UK Delegate | Baton STEM Winner | Tech100Women | WATC Rising Star | Empower Future Leader 2022 

Akua works as a Senior Associate within the Infrastructure & Cloud Team at LSEG. As part of her role, she mentors new starters in the team, including interns and graduates, and provides technology guidance to colleagues across the Group. Akua is process driven and enjoys project work, as well as sharing knowledge through technical documentation. 

Outside of her main role, Akua is a keen diversity & inclusion advocate, a mental health champion within the LSEG Wellbeing Committee and a community lead for LSEG’s Women’s Inspired Network. She is passionate about raising the profile of Women in STEM.  

Through the Accessibility Network at LSEG, Akua works alongside the Change Ambassador Network, researching and testing accessibility tools and raising awareness of making an inclusive environment for neurodivergent staff.  

Akua is a Neurodiversity advocate (self identifies as Dyslexic and has ADHD), a fundraiser, Team London ambassador, Covid vaccination advocate plus a charity volunteer and a keen sports volunteer for Netball England and British Athletics. Career highlights include being featured in Investment Week, Forbes, various guest blogs, Linkedin live and the Voices in the shadows book, vol 1. WomenTech Network awards judge, WeAreTheCity Technology Rising Star 2022, Involve Empower Top 100, Baton STEMTrailblazer Award 2022 and 2022 Kindness & Leadership, 50 Leading Lights 2022.
